The Super Squirrel was a unique and exciting motorcycle from the well-respected Scott Company. The two stroke engine was water cooled by a thermosiphon system and had a centrally positioned flywheel with twin inboard main bearings. Doors gave easy access to the engine and competition success included a third place in the 1929 Isle of Man TT race.

From the history file, we can see that this superb Scott resided in the North Country from 1949 before heading further south in 1960. By the 1990s, the motorcycle lived in Gloucestershire and it was at the end of that decade that a full restoration at an approximate cost of £4500 was carried out by specialist David Frank.

It appears that the Super Squirrel has been cherished ever since and is in truly concours condition, so much so that the vendor has displayed the motorcycle in his front room (with his wife’s permission of course!). The machine is in running order and ready to be enjoyed this autumn.

The history file contains a large amount of hand written correspondence from the late 1990s relating to the restoration, as well as useful information from the restorer on operation instructions and technical data etc… Also supplied are invoices, photographs, two MOT test certificates from 1971 and 1999, a photocopy advert for Sports and Super Squirrels, two RF60 continuation books, a V5 document, an older V5C and the current V5C registration certificate.
